In August of this year, the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) petitioned the National Mediation Board (NMB) to hold a union representation election on behalf of flight attendants at USA3000 Airlines. Balloting in that election began in mid-September. The votes, which were counted on October 6, 2009, showed that 96 of the 114 eligible USA3000 flight attendants voted for AFA representation.
In a statement to the press announcing the union election results, AFA-CWA International President Patricia Friend said, “We welcome USA3000 flight attendants to the world’s largest flight attendant union and look forward to working side-by-side in negotiating a legally binding contract that will provide the security they need to advance their profession.”
AFA notes that this is the third election victory for AFA this year, and that USA3000 is the second charter carrier to elect AFA-CWA as their bargaining representative in 2009.

Congratulations !
To all who I flew with before I was forced out by a management person in January at CLT,YOUR JOBS ARE SAFE,SAFE,SAFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The harrasment from in-flight management.Recurrent classes given to force people out rather than educate them are all part of this companies past MO.
Good luck and safe flying but on the same level KEEP THEM HONEST.I was part of the in-flight training department and those were my orders, catch someone and dump them.
Fly safe

I agree that congratulations are in order.
I am also I former flight attendant with U5 and saw first-hand exactly how unethically management operates. I had FOUR very close friends of mine be fired from a base for LITERALLY NO good reason. One was even fired while following FARs.
The management of this airline is completely a** backward and it is about time that they will have collective bargaining rights and the ability to have a leg to stand on against management. The days of management threatening U5 F/As that they will take away duty pay are over.
Let me tell you about the training departmen.Instead for reviewing the procedures from the manual the instructed interjected his own theory and procedures. We were shocked it was totally backward.
One of the students pointed it out to the instructor, I was standing there. The f/a who did that failed the door commands by one word.Every word was from the book execept the f/a said go left go rite rather than the other way around. How did he make that mistake? Well people say
that an instructor corrected his flash card from the last years recurrent,so he was going from the corrected one which was wrong.
He had an excellent work record, infact in four years he recieved letters for above and beyond effort to save a dieing passenger and giving outstanding cabin service.People say he would review his manual before each and every flight.Nevever ever was known to be late for a flight no matter how hot or how deep the snow.
this f/a built a equipment board for the training departmen with magnitic peaces representing the emergency eguipment. He gave it them without charge because he wanted to help the students better visualize the equipment. He never ever was thanked with a letter for his efforts. This company is so ill that in the last five years they have gone through 5 managers of in-flight services.
Even management people go through the revolving door faster than employees.
Thi f/a was a regular at the FAA Cabin Safety work shop and went to TSA's Cabin Defence class on his own dime. One needs to ask was it right to fail him of two wrong word it
I only hope he does well and flies again he diserves it.
