Flight attendants at Frontier Airlines subsidiary Lynx Aviation seek union

AFA-CWA logoFlight attendants at Lynx Aviation, a regional carrier that is a subsidiary of Frontier Airlines, may soon be represented by the world's largest flight attendant union. Earlier today, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA) filed a petition with the National Mediation Board (NMB) to hold a representational election on behalf of the Lynx Aviation flight attendants.

The NMB is the federal agency that oversees union representation elections in the airline industry. Once the NMB verifies that enough signed union representation cards have been collected by AFA-CWA, a secret ballot election will be called to determine who will represent Lynx flight attendants. In order to file for an election, AFA-CWA collected the required signature cards from the membership.

"Lynx flight attendants have a unique opportunity to shape the future of their careers by joining AFA-CWA. We look forward to welcoming them to the only organization that fights on behalf of flight attendants every day," said AFA-CWA International President Patricia Friend.

Good luck to the Lynx flight attendants in their quest for union representation.

I'll be surprised if there were enough signatures collected to warrant a vote.

Well, given that management has mislead FA during hiring events and continue to do so, might push those that may have had misgivings to vote for the FAF.

actually at the time of the filing, there were more than enough signatures that if put to a vote it would have passed. Now in less than 48 hours we are confident we will succeed
