APFA elects new National Officers

APFA logoA new President has been elected by the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), the union representing flight attendants at American Airlines. Laura Glading who won the position of President after a run-off election.

According to a notice posted on the APFA website, Ms. Glading received 6420 votes in the run-off election, while John Ward received 5363 votes. These two individuals had emerged as the leading candidates after a first-round election earlier this year.

Other National Officers determined by this election are:

  • Brett Durkin, Vice President
  • Denise Pointer, Secretary
  • Juan Barrera, Treasurer
They will serve a four-year term, which begins on April 1 of this year.
